I have faced the challenge of overcoming things unfamiliar to me and having to thrive in that very environment. I immigrated to Canada when I was 20 years old. At that time, I did not speak English and was not familiar with the way of life in Canada. This presented a great challenge for me to develop a healthy sense of confidence. Now I know that I can overcome any obstacles if I put my mind to it.
It did not take me too long to look around and realize that I was not the only one struggling with the new way of life. I witnessed fellow immigrants suffering injustice, not necessarily because of the system’s fault, but because of their lack of knowledge of the system. I soon got myself involved in the student government at my school, founded a student organization there to provide information to new immigrant students so that they can draw the same benefit from the system that everyone else enjoys. I also got involved in a national student organization and various community organizations providing information that will enrich their lives. I enjoyed helping people, donating my time and knowledge and expertise in the areas that could benefit the public. Perhaps it was a natural decision for me to go to law school to continue what I have enjoyed to date.
I spent several years articling and practicing at the firms practising exclusively personal injury law before I embarked on a new venture with my law partner, Simon Park. He and I share the same vision for the firm: creating a firm that is competent and professional, yet also human and authentic . I see myself as the ultimate resource for my clients who are facing various legal challenges. I pride myself in providing superior services, coupled with genuine care for their specific situations. I do not say that I know all the answers to your challenges. But, I assure you that I will be with you every step of the way until your legal matter is concluded with a great result. Please feel free to contact me to see what I can do for your situation.
